GeneProof Pestivirus PCR kit

The kit is designed for the universal detection of the RNA viruses of Pestivirus sp. (mostly to demonstrate the Bovine viral diarrhea virus /BVDV- 1a, BVDV-1b, BVDV-1c, BVDV-1d, BVDV-2/; Border disease virus (BDV); Classical swine fever virus (CSFV)) by the Reverse Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR). Detection is based on the amplification of a specific sequence of the gene encoding the virus polyproteine. The diagnostics provides for a sensitive detection of pestiviruses contaminating cell cultures and solutions used for tissue cultures (e.g. virus cultures, BSA) and for the control of contamination in products prepared from cell cultures (e.g. vaccines). This method is uniquely adjusted for reaction inhibition detection and due to the simplicity of the whole detection process it provides standard results even for analysis of materials with high PCR inhibitor contents. The product is registered and approved by the State Inspection for Veterinary Bioproducts and Pharmaceuticals, Czech Republic.
