The GeneProof company was founded by Radek Horvath and Milos Dendis. As young scientists, they contributed to widespread of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) in routine clinical practice in the Czech Republic.
In 1995, they conducted the first successful PCR detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in a clinical sample, followed by many other accomplishments.
In 2005, Horvath and Dendis founded a small start-up to meet the needs of laboratories and satisfy higher demand for standardization and simplifying of laboratory workflows.
As of today, GeneProof with 62 employees distributes a portfolio of 50 products to 60+ countries. 90 % of production is exported.
